The Interiors

Inside, the homestead retains the character that defines its era — pressed metal ceilings, wide verandahs, and materials that have deepened with time rather than dated. Original features have been preserved as a matter of philosophy, not nostalgia.

The bathrooms are a particular pleasure: a claw-foot bath with original brass fittings, period encaustic floor tiles in warm ochre and charcoal, and the unhurried light of a sash window overlooking the garden. These are rooms that could not be built today for any price.
